SA vs NED: South African captain Temba Bavuma eyes a great performance in Dharamshala
The stunning HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala attracted South Africa's captain, Temba Bavuma, as the Proteas get ready to take on the Netherlands in the ODI World Cup match. It was the first snowfall of the season in the Dhauladhars, adding to the natural splendour of the setting. Both teams also experienced some rain.
Encircled by imposing mountains on every side, the HPCA Stadium is prepared to host a second ODI World Cup game on Tuesday. During the pre-match, press conference, Temba Bavuma said:

It’s one of the beautiful grounds to play at around the world. In terms of what to expect tomorrow, we are not expecting rain, that’s what we were told. But I guess, we will see what happens, if it effects our combinations… Probably, not too much. Obviously, we will have a look at the wickets and that would be the biggest deciding factor,

The captain of South Africa, though, saw HPCA to be positive. While acknowledging that the outfield might seem a little uneven, Bavuma gave the assurance that things are not as bad as they might seem. He added:

The field is a bit patchy. We did our fielding practice last night. To be honest, it didn’t play as bad as it really looked. We have spoken about trying to be more cautious, maybe changing your diving technique. I don’t know how easy it is to do in the heat of the momentum. The guys just need to be a bit more cautious and attentive. Like I said, we fielded yesterday and it wasn’t too bad,
Temba Bavuma and his team have performed great in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 so far winning both of their last matches against Sri Lanka and Australia and are likely to beat the Netherlands, that are at the bottom of the table without a single win.
