Currently sitting in seventh place in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 are Sri Lanka, who are prone to injuries. They didn't live up to the hype at first, but they pulled off an amazing upset by winning over the Netherlands, the underdog squad. Sri Lanka has won two of the last six matches as the competition moves closer to its pivotal phases.

Though difficult, Sri Lanka's future is hopeful. They need to win all three of their remaining games in order to try and rack up 10 points, which will get them into the semi-finals only if other teams lose and drop points. They also need to pray that in their last three games, Australia or New Zealand to lose at least twice. But Sri Lanka would be out of the competition after only one loss. The upcoming games will surely put their tenacity and resolve to the test. Their match on Thursday against India could be the decider of their competition if they lose.
