'Symbol of dedication: CAB gifts Kohli golden bat on 35th birthday after India's win at Eden Gardens
On his 35th birthday, Virat Kohli received a gold plated bat from the Cricket Association of Bengal. Kohli went on to score a century on his special day.

On Sunday, Eden Gardens, Kolkata, yet again became the bearer of history as Virat Kohli scored the record-equalling 49th ODI ton. It was a special day for King Kohli as he turned 35, and what could be a better way to celebrate it with a century. On his birthday, Kohli was facilitated by the Cricket Association of Bengal.

Virat Kohli received a golden bat from CAB
Being one of the most celebrated sportspersons out there, the entire universe got together to wish Virat Kohli a very happy birthday. From fans to teammates, efforts were made by all ends to make his day extra special and the Cricket Association of Bengal also had something planned out for King Kohli. Coincidently, India were scheduled to play South Africa on the day at the iconic Eden Gardens. Realising the enormity of the occasion, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) gifted Virat Kohli a golden bat in the ceremony dedicated to him. CAB president Snehasish Ganguly presented the award to him.

Team India: A force to be reckoned with
Team India's domination in the ICC ODI World Cup continues and again it was the familiar phenom, Virat Kohli, who stood up to the task. Batting first, Rohit Sharma showcased his aggressive play once again and made a quickfire 40 of just 24 balls. Shubman Gill failed to capitalise on the start again and perished after adding 23 on the board. Then came the partnership that gave India the edge. Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli combined to contribute 134 in the total and as a result, India were on course to give South Africa a huge target. Courtesy of Virat Kohli's 49th hundred India reached a total of 326, this a daunting task was ahead for the Proteas.
The trio of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Mohammed Shami have been tearing apart the opposition in this World Cup, however, with the way South Africa have played in the tournament a competitive chase was expected, but it wasn't to be. The pacer troika was joined by the marvelous Ravindra Jadeja in this match. Jaddu took the 5-fer and paved the way for another early finish. 83 was all South Africa could manage in the end, and with it, India secured victory by a mammoth 242 runs. Kohli was adjudged the man of the match for his century innings.
