Team India goes through emotional turmoil

Team India suffered a heartbreaking loss against Australia in the concluding match of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, on Sunday. Devastating scenes from the Narendra Modi Ground emanated after Australia chased down the score of 241. The visuals of a tiery-eyed Siraj and Bumrah trying to console him summarises the whole picture, moreover, a dejected Rohit Sharma storming back to the pavilion, further explains the emotional turmoil that losing a final brings.

Final fielder of the match video posted by BCCI

On another note, the segment where the best fielder gets highlighted did take place for one final time. As always, the fielding coach T Dilip congregated the group and expressed his delight and voiced how proud he is of the squad over the way it has given its 100% in the last one-and-a-half-month. Dilip then announced the stand-out fielder from the India vs Australia match, and while the victory could not be replicated, in this context, it ended the way it began. Virat Kohli was adjudged the best fielder from the match.
