Jaydev Unadkat criticises Angelo Mathews
Match number 38 of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 became a bearer of major controversy as Angelo Mathews was adjudged Timed Out after being not able to take the guard within the stipulated 2 minutes. Following the send-off, discussions erupted on whether it was unsportsmanlike of Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan or if it is fair because everything happened within the ambit of rules.
While the matter has already been highlighted by some of the foremost names in the sport, Indian pacer Jaydev Unadkat has shared his views on the matter and lambasted Mathews for not taking the consent of the umpired before taking the time to fix helmet issues.

Follow-up of dismissal
All eyes were on Angelo Mathews as he walked down the middle during Sri Lanka's game against New Zealand on Thursday. On his way to the crease, the veteran all-rounder received a nice little welcome from captain Kane Williamson and Trent Boult, who might have enquired about the wellness of the helmet strap. While it was all laughs when he came down to the middle, as far as play is concerned he could not resurrect Sri Lanka's innings and perished after scoring just 16 runs.
