Batting first India had compounded a monumental total of 336/5 on the board, thanks to a sublime innings of Rohit Sharma, who rattled Pakistan with a 140-run knock. Chasing 337, Pakistan incurred a disastrous start as Iman-ul-Haq fell cheaply at the score of 7 runs. Following that, Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam crafted a more than 100-run stand for the second wicket. As the partnership started to look threatening for India, skipper Virat Kohli brought Kuldeep Yadav into the attack, and then the moment that Indian cricket fans have been cherishing since the last five years and will continue to do so till eternity ensued. On the final delivery of the 24th over, Babar Azam failed to pick the variation of the chinaman bowler and was left completely bewildered as the ball found the gap between his bat and pad to hit the stumps. The wicket initiated the collapse of Pakistan and in the end, India yet again prevailed over Pakistan at the greatest dais of cricket.
