Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli arrived at Mumbai airport ahead of the crucial 2023 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday. In a video shared on Instagram handle Viral Bhayani, Virat Kohli can be seen requesting fans and paparazzi not to take pictures with him near his car, as he mentioned that his daughter Vamika had come to pick him up from the airport.

Virat Kohli requests journalists and fans to not click pictures

Former India captain Virat Kohli has recently arrived back in Mumbai, and a circulating video captures the cricketer leaving the airport. The video shows Virat Kohli urging photographers to keep noise levels down and refraining from taking pictures near his car. He explained that his daughter Vamika was sleeping inside, requesting privacy for her.

"I have to take my daughter home, please," Virat Kohli said.

As India heads into the knockout stages, overcoming past challenges, they hope to break the jinx against New Zealand in the upcoming semifinal.

In the game against the Netherlands in Bengaluru on Sunday, November 12, Virat Kohli also had the opportunity to showcase his bowling skills. With concerns about the lack of extra bowling options due to an injury to Hardik Pandya, captain Rohit Sharma decided to test part-time bowlers in case they were needed in the semifinal.

Virat Kohli bowled three overs, conceding only 13 runs and taking the crucial wicket of Scott Edwards. Edwards attempted to work a delivery down the leg-side behind square but could only manage a faint edge, which was expertly caught by KL Rahul.

The crowd in Bengaluru was thrilled, and so were Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma. Other players like Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, and even captain Rohit Sharma himself tried their hand at bowling, with Rohit securing the final wicket to maintain India's perfect record of nine wins out of nine in the group stages.
