In a thrilling encounter at the ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistan set a target of 159/7 against the United States. The USA responded strongly, reaching 159/3 in 18 overs but ended up in a tie with Pakistan after a gripping game. The match proceeded to a Super Over where the USA emerged victorious by 5 runs, with Monank Patel shining as the Player of the Match for his impressive 50 off 38 balls. Both teams displayed excellent cricket skills in this intense Group stage match, thrilling the audience at the Grand Prairie Stadium.

The 2024 T20 World Cup campaign of Pakistan started off badly. Babar Azam and his side lost the inaugural match in Dallas on Thursday, June 6, by five runs in a super over.

First up, the Pakistan Crikcet  Team scored 159/7 in their allocated 20 overs. Entrusted with defending 15 runs in the last over, Haris Rauf was unable to win as the USA levelled the score and finished their innings at 159/3.

Pakistan needed 19 runs to win the Super Over, but USA's left-arm bowler Saurabh Netravalkar remained composed to give his side the victory.

Following the devastating defeat for Babar Azam's team, former Team India opener Wasim Jaffer posted the hit Chahat Fateh Ali Khan song "Bado Badi" on social media, suggesting that supporters were happy with the USA's victory.

Player of the Match went to USA skipper Monank Patel for his outstanding 50-run performance during the run chase. The squad is presently leading Group A's points standings after two straight wins.
