Al Nassr sign Cristiano Ronaldo Jr and hand him iconic shirt number after Manchester United exit

Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr has has signed Cristiano Ronaldo's son. Ronaldo's son has previously played in Real Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United.

After welcoming the senior pro to the club in a sensational move after FIFA World Cup 2022, Al-Nassr have now opened the doors to Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. According to reports, the Saudi Pro League side has signed Ronaldo's son.

AL-Nassr signs Cristiano Ronaldo's son

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr after his contract with Manchester United was mutually terminated. His transfer to Saudi Arabia encouraged a slew of other prominent players to leave Europe for the Middle East, including Karim Benzema, Neymar, and Riyad Mahrez.

Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ahli are all PIF-backed clubs, with Al-Nassr possessing the 38-year-old as well as the superstar forward's son. According to Arriyadiyah, Al Nassr has completed a big coup by signing Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. Furthermore, according to the story, the 13-year-old has been given the historic No.7 shirt - the same shirt number as his father for Al Nassr. Ronaldo Jr. will begin training in the next few days.

Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed interest in extending his contract with AL-Nassr till 2027. A possible extension would allow him to play for Portugal in the 2026 World Cup, which would be held by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Cristiano Ronaldo hits the 40 mark again

Cristiano Ronaldo now has at least 40 goals in 12 consecutive calendar years. During Portugal's 5-0 triumph over Bosnia and Herzegovina in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Monday night, the 38-year-old scored his 40th goal of the season. Ronaldo opened the scoring for his team in the fifth minute by converting a penalty kick. That was his 39th  goal in 2023. His 40th came 17 minutes later courtesy of a perfect lob.
