Bayern Munich transfer BOMBSHELL as star set to leave putting Real Madrid, Barcelona on notice

Bayern Munich have received a massive blow in their summer transfer window as one of their iconic players and midfield maestro is looking to shockingly depart the club.

Recent reports around the Bavarian club has suggested that their superstar player and icon Joshua Kimmich whose contract is set to expire in summer 2025 is looking for a fresh challenge and won’t be renewing his contract with Bayern Munich.

Joshua Kimmich to exit Bayern Munich?

According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports who is a transfer specialist for FC Bayern Munich has reported that Joshua Kimmich won’t be renewing his contract and will either depart the club this summer for a transfer fee or depart in 2025 on a free transfer.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City all linked to Kimmich

The news of Joshua Kimmich potentially looking to depart Bayern Munich has come as a bombshell and has put many top clubs on notice as many will look to snap him up.

Among the big clubs interested are two Spanish giants in Real Madrid and Barcelona who will also compete with English powerhouse clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Joshua Kimmich has been the backbone of Bayern Munich’s midfield and defence for the best part of last decade and if he does decide to end his stay at the Allianz Arena then there will not be any absence of suitors for the German maestro.

Real Madrid are looking for a solid replacement to the midfield void left by Toni Kroos. Joshua Kimmich won’t be a like for like sub but he will provide them depth at the spot. Barcelona are seeking to find replacements for Sergio Busquets and Kimmich can fall into that profile.

Joshua Kimmich has won the Champions League with Bayern Munich in 2020 and is currently taking part in Euros with Germany. Kimmich’s current deal with Bayern will expire in 2025 and once his duties with the German national team are concluded discussions around contract will heat up and more details are expected to develop that whether he will leave Munich or not.
