"Champions League? I wouldn't bet against Manchester City" says legend Kompany

"I wouldn't bet a pound against it," said Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany about his former team's chances to win the Champions League in this season.

The Belgian defender spoke after being honoured with a lifetime achievement award by the Football Writers' Association at the Savoy Hotel in London.

Kompany was given the FWA's special tribute award at a star-studded dinner, not only for his outstanding playing career as captain of City for a decade, but for his charity work.
