In a dominant display, Serbia secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Sweden in a friendly match at Friends Arena. Sergej Milinković-Savić opened the scoring in the 18th minute, followed by goals from Aleksandar Mitrović in the 60th minute and Dušan Tadić in the 70th minute. Despite Sweden's efforts, they were unable to breach Serbia's defence. The Serbian team showcased efficiency with 5 shots on target out of 8 attempts while maintaining 36% possession against Sweden's 64%.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic facilitated by Sweden during an emotional ceremony 

Attending the Sweden vs Serbia game at Friends Arena, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was recognised for his achievements to the national team with a ceremony. Emotions ran high at the occasion, much like with his departure at AC Milan.

Despite Sweden's 3-0 loss, the supporters remained in their seats to honour the country's greatest football player after the whistle. Ibrahimovic was shown on a film highlighting his career accomplishments before he entered the pitch under a guard of honour.

Ibrahimovic encouraged the younger generation to persevere and draw inspiration from his experience while thanking the Swedish supporters for their unfailing support. Reminiscent of his departure at San Siro in 2023, he ended poignantly by saying, "You are welcome, Sweden. Love you.' 

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is widely regarded as the greatest Swedish football player of all time. Having retired, he leaves behind a legacy of remarkable skill and an enduring impact on the sport. From the beginning of his career, he displayed exceptional prowess, earning acclaim as one of the most celebrated footballers with a commendable attitude. Making his debut for Sweden in 2001, Ibrahimovic accomplished an impressive record, scoring 62 goals in 122 appearances. His influential presence on the field, combined with his sporting character, solidifies his status as an iconic figure in the world of football.
