Flamengo announce renewal of head coach Jorge Jesus's contract

Defending Copa Libertadores champions Flamengo announced the renewal of Head Coach Jorge Jesus.

Current contract would expire in two weeks both parties agreed to extend until June 2021.

The Portuguese took over Brazil's most popular club in June and is widely regarded as responsible for Flamengo's recent successes, leading the Rio side to win Copa Libertadores and the Brazilian League.

The black-and-red team had not won the continental trophy since the early 1980s, and the national championship trophy since 2009.
