In a resounding victory, the France national football team emerged triumphant against the Luxembourg national football team in a friendly match, securing a 3-0 win. The goals were scored by Randal Kolo Muani in the 43rd minute, Jonathan Clauss in the 70th minute, and an 85th-minute goal by Kylian Mbappé. Notably, Mbappé also contributed two assists to propel his team to a dominant performance. With 21 shots and 7 on target, France exhibited an impressive 62% possession and 93% pass accuracy, proving their dominance throughout the match.

Set aside all the fuss surrounding his move to Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe demonstrated his extraordinary skill in France's 3-0 friendly victory against Luxembourg on Wednesday.

As the star striker confirmed his departure to Spain with a goal and two assists at Stade Saint-Symphorien in Metz, Didier Deschamps hailed Mbappe's leadership qualities. Brilliant on the left side, Mbappe created space and set up Randal Kolo Muani's first-half goal. He also provided an assist for Jonathan Clauss' goal after the interval.

With help from old Paris Saint-Germain colleague Bradley Barcola, Mbappe scored a late goal to finish off his incredible individual effort.

Particularly considering that Mbappe returned to international play just 12 days before France's Euro 2024 opener against Austria, head coach Deschamps was pleased with his performance. Deschamps stated, speaking to French television TF1,

"He's a fantastic leader. His head and body weren't used to playing so little. He lacked a bit of juice. But he got it in his head that he was going to do everything to make up for his PSG frustration. It was a good example during the week."

With a last warm-up game against Canada on Sunday, France is getting ready for a difficult group at the Euros that includes Poland and the Netherlands. While pointing up areas for development, Deschamps saw the performance versus Luxembourg as a good sign.

"It's a good rehearsal for the work we've done," he said. "We're not going to get excited but there are some interesting things. I'm going to correct some positioning. But in the offensive animation, we had a lot of variety."

Making history as well, Olivier Giroud, at 37 years and 249 days old, came on as a second-half replacement for France. Kylian Mbappe will eye to make the most out of his football career as he joins Real Madrid, the team that recently won the UEFA Champions League and La Liga. The French captain will first eye to lead France to glory in the Euro 2024 in Germany. After that, he will focus on achieving success with his new club and establishing himself as one of the best players in the world.
