Manchester City have been one of the most dominant teams in not just England but in Europe over the past few years now with their splendid facilities and a completely star stacked squad. Manchester City have managed to win four Premier League titles in a row and have also managed to win their first ever UEFA Champions League in 2023. Due to their massive success and carefree spending, Manchester City have long been accused of breaching financial fair play rules, which has led to several cases being filed against the club.
Now, the club is in even more trouble as La Liga president Javier Tebas has now accused the club of even more financial fraud and has reported the Premier League club to the European Union.
Javier Tebas Reveals He Has Reported Man City To The EU
The president of the La Liga, Javier Tebas has revealed that he has reported Man City to the EU for an alleged breach of rules in relation to state owned teams. He has alleged that City have a lot of companies outside the City Football Group where Manchester City put their expenses to avoid Financial Fair Play Rules.

"City have a lot of companies in their group which lie outside the City Football Group structure, extra companies where they put their expenses.
"These other companies lose the money but not the club itself. We have reported Manchester City to the EU. We have the facts and figures.

"We asked for City to be checked. It's very important that all clubs are subject to the same transparency rules and governance on both the sporting and financial side.
"The City case is one where we believe they have put the losses on the companies that are not officially part of City Football Group," said Javier Tebas at the FT Business Of Football Summit.
Manchester City Decline To Comment On Tebas' Allegations
Following the allegations and the report by Javier Tebas, Manchester City have declined to comment on the situation. However, sources close to Manchester City have revealed that the La Liga president has a long history of attacking Manchester City who he calls ‘state owned clubs’.
Manchester City's defence in all of this has been to point towards the clubs accounts which are a matter of public record.
