Lallianzuala Chhangte To Lead Mumbai City As New Captain

Mumbai City have announced Lallianzuala Chhangte as the new captain ahead of the 2024-25 season. Since joining the Islanders in January 2022, Chhangte has consistently delivered standout performances, amassing 29 goals and 16 assists in 79 appearances.

Lallianzuala Chhangte is an Indian professional footballer who primarily plays as a winger. Born on June 8, 1997, in Mizoram, India, Chhangte is known for his speed, dribbling skills, and goal-scoring ability. He began his career with the DSK Shivajians academy before making his professional debut with NorthEast United FC in the Indian Super League (ISL).

Chhangte has since played for several ISL clubs, including Delhi Dynamos (now Odisha FC) and Chennaiyin FC. He has also represented India at various youth levels and made his senior debut for the national team in 2015. Chhangte is regarded as one of India's promising football talents and continues to be a key player in both club and international competitions.
