In the 2023/24 ISL season, he replicated his previous campaign’s success by contributing 16 goals (10 goals and 6 assists), becoming the first Indian player in ISL history to record over 15 goal contributions in back-to-back seasons. A key player in the team’s triumphs, Chhangte helped the Islanders clinch the ISL League Winners' Shield in 2022/23 season and played a decisive role in securing the ISL Cup in the following season with crucial goal contributions. Lallianzuala Chhangte is an Indian professional footballer who primarily plays as a winger. Born on June 8, 1997, in Mizoram, India, Chhangte is known for his speed, dribbling skills, and goal-scoring ability. He began his career with the DSK Shivajians academy before making his professional debut with NorthEast United FC in the Indian Super League (ISL).
Chhangte has since played for several ISL clubs, including Delhi Dynamos (now Odisha FC) and Chennaiyin FC. He has also represented India at various youth levels and made his senior debut for the national team in 2015. Chhangte is regarded as one of India's promising football talents and continues to be a key player in both club and international competitions.
