The much-awaited Manchester Derby will unfold on Sunday when Manchester United host defending champions Manchester City at the Old Trafford. Following their underwhelming start to this campaign, the Red Devils have turned it around with three successive wins in all competitions. The match will start at 9:00 PM IST on October 29.
3 things you need to know
- Manchester United to take on Manchester City in the Premier League
- United are on a three-match winning streak in all competitions
- City lost once in the last three matches
Following an encouraging 2022-23 campaign, United looked to have bridged the gap with their rivals. But despite their lavish spending in the summer they have failed to inject life into their Premier League campaign. Four losses in nine matches have already dashed their hopes of a top-two finish but a win against the treble winners could revive their campaign.
For Pep Guardiola it hasn't been the ideal start he would have liked. Back-to-back defeats against Wolves and Arsenal had blown the title race open but their win over Brighton & Hove Albion has managed to douse the fire for the time being. City will start the match as the outright favourites but Guardiola knows Erik ten Hag's side is capable of derailing their campaign once again.
