J.League side Nagoya Grampus are looking on the domestic front to secure silverware after a positive season so far.

J.League side Nagoya Grampus are looking on the domestic front to secure silverware after a positive season so far.

Grampus lost 3-0 to Pohang Steelers in the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League on Sunday but they are in the final of the Levain Cup and will face Cerezo Osaka on 30th October.

Nagoya will also face Cerezo incidentally, in the quarter-final of the Emperor's Cup on 27th October.

Head coach Massimo Ficcadenti believed that the performances so far would lay the foundation for the club's league title challenge next season.

Goalkeeper and former Socceroo Mitchell Langerak also felt the club would be ready to be among the contenders for the league title in 2022.
