Japanese J-League chairman Mitsuru Murai said on Wednesday that they remain unsure that a planned June restart for professional football in the country can take place.

Murai was speaking on a videoconference with reporters after a J.League extraordinary board meeting held in Tokyo on Wednesday.

In a statement, the J.League announced it will be scrapping relegation for 2020 as it looks to salvage a season that has been on hold since February due to the coronavirus.
