NO ROOM FOR MBAPPE as Neymar highlights his TOP Ballon d’Or contender for 2024

Neymar, the Brazilian football sensation, has garnered widespread acclaim as one of the greatest footballers in history. Known for his exceptional dribbling skills, creativity, and flair on the pitch, Neymar has consistently delivered outstanding performances for both club and country, cementing his status as a footballing icon and legend.

Neymar picks his 3 favourites for the Ballon d’Or 2024

Neymar prefers to focus on other players in his top three choices rather than Kylian Mbappe, his former PSG teammate, as a leading candidate for the Ballon d'Or.

Real Madrid, also referred to as Los Blancos, won both domestic and international championships; Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior were essential to their success. Mbappe placed third in the 2023 Ballon d'Or voting, behind Erling Haaland and eight-time champion Lionel Messi, as he gets ready to sign with Real Madrid as a free agent in 2024. Neymar has previously placed in the top three for the Ballon d'Or twice, but he has always lagged behind Messi and Ronaldo.

Neymar is no longer eligible for the coveted individual award at the age of 32. While playing for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, he spent the previous season recovering from damage to his knee ligaments. In spite of this, Neymar is still a powerful figure and an excellent assessor of the top players in the world.

When asked to pick his favourite players by Brazilian journalist Isabela Pagliari, Neymar naturally named the Real Madrid players who won the Champions League and La Liga in the 2023–24 campaign. Neymar praised these guys' exceptional efforts and emphasised how much they contributed to their team's victory. Neymar said: 

“Vinicius Junior is first, Rodrygo and [Jude] Bellingham are joint second.”
