‘Proud of You!’: Real Madrid Celebrates Cristiano Ronaldo's Momentous 900th Career Goal Achievement

In the UEFA Nations League Group A contest, Portugal defeated Croatia 2-1. Portugal's score was started by Diogo Dalot in the seventh minute, then Cristiano Ronaldo scored yet another goal in the thirty-fourth. But in the 41st minute, Dalot inadvertently scored an own goal. Portugal had 15 shots and 6 shots on target, while Croatia had 13 shots and 4 shots on target, therefore producing a 50% possession for both sides. Portugal comes in second in League A Group 1 rankings with this win. The game was at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica. In this match Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo achieved a historic record by scoring his 900th career goal. He completed a cross from Nuno Mendes with a simple close-range volley.

Real Madrid congratulates Cristiano Ronaldo on his 900th career goal 

Real Madrid sent their sincere congrats to Cristiano Ronaldo, their illustrious former player, for reaching the amazing 900 goals in his career—including both domestic and international games. Thursday's Portugal UEFA Nations League game against Croatia in Lisbon brought Ronaldo to this historic record.

Cristiano Ronaldo, 39, broke a five-match scoring drought for Portugal shortly before halftime by following an early goal by Diogo Dalot in the seventh minute, thereby underscoring his remarkable career successes.

The Portuguese legend Ronaldo became the first player to surpass 900 career goals with exactly half of them coming during his very successful nine-year stint at the Santiago Bernabéu from 2009 to 2018.

Real Madrid praised Ronaldo's achievement in a tweet that, translated from Spanish, reads:

"Another historic milestone: 900 goals in the professional career of one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid and world football. Congratulations, dear and admired @Cristiano! Real Madrid and the Madrid fans are always proud of you."

Portugal won away from the game 2-1. Ronaldo was affected when his shot landed on the net, lying on the grass in the joy of reaching yet another major career milestone.

Ronaldo, who is now 39 years old, has an impressive total of 131 international goals as of today. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a total of 450 goals for Real Madrid, 145 goals for Manchester United, 101 goals for Juventus, and 68 goals for his current team, Al Nassr. In addition, he netted five goals for Sporting Lisbon, the club where he first started his professional career.

Lionel Messi, the Argentine player, ranks second on the all-time scoring list with 859 goals. Ronaldo has achieved the remarkable feat of scoring over 900 goals in official matches, including both his performances for club and national teams. This makes him the first male player to reach this milestone.
