Real Madrid the undisputed rulers of Europe again; Beat Dortmund 2-0 to claim 15th Champions League

Real Madrid beat Burussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final of Champions League 2023/24 at Wembley. Dani Carvazal and Vinicius Jr. got to the score sheet.

It is always said that finals are not there to be played but to be won, and nobody understands the assignment better than Real Madrid. Even after being largely dominated in the first half by Dortmund, Real Madrid showed their monstrous mentality again and slotted two goals to win the UEFA Champions League 2023/24. It is their 15th CL title. Dani Carvazal and Vinicius Junior, got to the score sheet at the iconic Wembley.

Real Madrid beat Dortmund 2-0 to claim Champions League for the record extending 15th time

Dortmund ruled the first 30 minutes. Karim Adeyemi was on song from the left wing. Creating things all around. He had a chance to score in the 13th minute and almost crafted a team goal in the 25th minute. Dortmund continued to surge throughout the half and in the 41st minute, Sabitzer had a go from distance. It was a fierce grounded shot saved by Courtois. Besides a couple of Vini runs on the counter, it was a half owned by Borussia Dortmund.

A better second half was expected from Real Madrid and they started on a positive note. In the 48th minute, Vini surged ahead in the counter and won a freekick at the edge of the box. Toni Kroos took the setpiece and produced a save from keeper Kobel. The action shifted to the other end in the 62nd minute when Adeyemi almost set up Fullkrug for a header. However, in the end, it turned out to be a regulation save for Courtois. Following that Marco Reus made his final appearance in yellow. He substituted Karim Adeyemi.

Real Madrid broke the deadlock in the 74th minute when Toni Kroos' corner met Dani Carvajal's head, who slotted it in. The lead gave Real Madrid the green light to dominate and in the spell they extended the lead in the 83rd minute. Vinicius Jr. scored the goal and put Blancos 2-0 up. The score was 2-0 at the end of the normal time. A 5-minute of added time was given but Dortmund could not script a comeback. 

Toni Kroos, who shined in the final, was playing his last game for the whites made an iconic departure.
