'They don't need them': Thierry Henry's BIG claim about Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid

As Real Madrid lifted their 15th European Cup, legendary French striker Thierry Henry made a big claim about Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid.

Real Madrid continued to create European History as they went on to beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League final at ‘the home of football’, Wembley stadium in London and won their record extending 15th UEFA Champions League crown. 

In what was considered to be a transition season for the club with the departure of Karim Benzema and no new signings to replace him, Los Blancos managed to complete a league and Champions League double.

While there is a lot of fanfare around the incoming signing of Brazilian striker sensation Endrick and the potential arrival of one of the best players in the world in Kylian Mbappe, France legend and one of the most prominent strikers in history of football, Thierry Henry has made a big claim over the signings.

Thierry Henry's big claim over Real Madrid's new signings

Thierry Henry who was on broadcast duties with CBS Sports Golazo for the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund made a big claim that the 15-time European Champions have no need of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick in the squad. They are simply luxury signings. 

“Real Madrid won La Liga and the Champions League without Mbappe or Endrick. They don't need them, it's a luxury. That's what Real Madrid is”, said Thierry Henry in his post match analysis of the Champions League final.

Another Magical night for the Eternal Kings of Europe

As the first half of the Champions League final ended, it felt like Real Madrid were on the backfoot and were in danger of losing the final as Borussia Dortmund had completely dominated the first half.

But in the second half, they proved why they are serial winners as Dani Carvajal rose from a Toni Kroos corner to hand Real Madrid the advantage in the 74th minute. 

Inside just nine minutes Real Madrid scored again through Vinicus Jr and sealed the deal as they went on to lift their 15th Champions League title.
