Formula One driver and 7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton shocked the world in 2024 when he announced he will be moving to Ferrari from 2025 onwards. The driver who gained six of his world championships at Mercedes wanted a new challenge as he looks to win his eighth championship and become the driver with the most world championships. Now that it is 2025, Lewis Hamilton is raring to have a race in his new Ferrari as he gets down in the hunt for his eighth world championship.
With the first race weekend of 2025 just days away, Lewis Hamilton is all raring to have a race with his Ferrari. Hamilton shared what he thinks about pressure going into his 19th season in Formula One as he stated that he does not approach the role with pressure and that the pressure he puts on himself is far greater than any pressure that can be put on him.
“I don’t really approach this role with pressure. I think over the years, the pressure I put on myself has always been 10 times higher than any other pressure that could be put upon me. I haven’t joined this team and been made to feel any pressure.
“I have an expectation for myself — I know what I can bring. I know what I can deliver. And I know what it’s going to take,” said Lewis Hamilton.
In the recently concluded free practice 2, the Ferrari was showing signs of being a competitive car which could be a title challenger during the 2025 season. In FP2, Charles Leclerc of Ferrari finished first ahead of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris of McLaren and Yuki Tsunoda in fourth.
