After 43 days of excellent and entertaining cricket, India and Australia will be playing the finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The two heavyweights of international cricket defeated New Zealand and South Africa respectively in the first and the second semi-final to secure a place in the final of the major ICC event.

How much prize money will New Zealand and South Africa take away from the 2023 ODI World Cup? 

New Zealand and South Africa were one of the top teams in the 2023 ODI World Cup and showed a brilliant display of cricket throughout the tournament. However, both sides faced yet another heartbreak and were not able to qualify for the finals of the tournament. Though, both the teams will not walk back with empty hands as on one end, the Kiwi team will receive INR 33,31,176 each for their five wins during the round-robin stage whereas, they will get another INR 6,66,23,520 for losing in the tournament semis. In total. the Kane Williamson-led side will get INR 8,32,76,200.

Talking about the Proteas, the Temba Bavuma-led side were able to win seven games out of nine whereas lost to Australia in the semi-finals. South Africa will receive INR 33,31,176 for seven wins in the round-robin stage whereas they will get INR 6,66,23,520 for being the losing team in the tournament semis. In total, they will get a total of 14,98,97,160 at the end of the competition.

The 2023 ODI World Cup has been a full-action thriller wherein many low-ranked teams such as Sri Lanka and the Netherlands have defeated tournament favourites England and South Africa. With India and Australia playing in the finals, both teams have the capability to win the tournament. But India will remain the fan favourites to win the title.
