Former UFC champ-champ and now a part of the promotion's color commentary team, Daniel Cormier recently joined his commentary partner Joe Rogan at the eminent “The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).” The two interacted on diverse subjects and the topic of Jon Jones also eventually made its way in. DC and Jones have been a part of one of the most fierce rivalries in the history of UFC.

Daniel Cormier highlights how good Jon Jones is in the ring
Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier headlined two UFC pay-per-views in the form of UFC 200 and UFC 214. In both the fights, Jones got the better of DC. The decision of the second fight however was overtured because it was found that Jones was fighting after consuming a banned substance. The third fight never took place, but the bad blood between them never seemingly perished.
Irrespective of the history, the two have been all-praise for each other lately, and putting light on the expertise of Bones' in-ring prowess, DC highlighted Jon Jones' fight IQ.

Jon Jones' comeback and unfortunate injury
After three years of absence, Jon Jones made his UFC comeback in 2023 at UFC 285. In less than three minutes, Jones reiterated his levels in the game and won the match and the UFC Heavyweight title by finishing Ciryl Gane. Jones was expected to defend his belt against former champion Stipe Miocic in November 2023, but just days before the fight he sustained a shoulder injury, and the plans of the fight went haywire.
