With India's golden boy as an inspiration, Navdeep had a spectacular finish to his campaign in the Paris Paralympics, winning gold. He holds Neeraj in the highest regard, and his reaction to being compared to him demonstrates how much he admires him.

Paralympics Gold Medalist Navdeep Singh Reacts to Being Compared With ‘Golden Boy’ Neeraj Chopra

While speaking to ANI, Navdeep Singh refused to compared himself with India's golden boy Neeraj Chopra . The Paris Olympics Silver Medalist inspired Navdeep to take up Javelin as a sport, but he boldly affirmed that he is not like Neeraj and cannot compare with him as he is his senior.

"I have been inspired by Neeraj, but I am not like him. He will always be my senior, and I cannot compare with him," gold medalist Paralympian Navdeep Singh said.  

Navdeep, the Paralympics medalist, also spoke out on his medal win, saying that he feels content that the Paralympics ended with a gold for India.

"It feels good that India could win the gold and when Paralympics were concluding, the national anthem was played. I am happy that medal tally has been concluded with a gold," Navdeep added.

Navdeep Singh initially bagged a silver medal finish, but Iranian para-athlete Sadegh Beit Sayah was disqualified from the Men's Javelin F41 Final at the Paris Paralympics. It led to Navdeep Singh's silver being converted to gold, adding another medal to the official tally.

With 29 medals, including seven gold, nine silver, and thirteen bronze, the Indian contingent finished its historic campaign at the Paris Paralympics with the highest number of medals won by the nation in the competition's history. India's campaign outperformed their previous best performance at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, where they took home 19 medals total — five gold, eight silver, and six bronze.
