India's HS Prannoy has stormed into the pre-quarters of Paris Olympics after beating Vietnam's Le Duc Phat 16-21, 21-11, 21-12 in group stage encounter. HS Prannoy will now face his Indian counterpart Lakshya Sen in the pre-quarters.
HS Prannoy entered into the contest having won his opening match and despite going a game down against Le Duc Phat, he managed a great comeback into the game.
HS Prannoy was slow to come out the blocks in the group match and dropped the first game to Vietnam's Le Duc Phat. The game 1 loss fired up HS Prannoy as he was ready to make answer back to his Vietnamese opponet.
As it turned out, HS Prannoy came roaring back into the game and completely dominated his Vietnamese opponent to take game 2 by 21-11.

Prannoy followed up his game 2 dominance into game 3 as well as he dismantled his Vietnamese opponent to book his place into the next round.
Both HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen have been on a tear for India at the Paris Olympics, particularly Sen who feels reinvigorated and focused with a point to prove for his nation.
It is rather unfortunate that one of Sen and Prannoy will be exiting the Paris Olympics in Pre Quarters itself when the two face off against each other in a blockbuster encounter.
Both HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen have been in good form for India at Paris Olympics, hence it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. One thing is for certain an Indian will play in the Quarterfinals.
