India hopes to win two medals in the Sunday Olympics in Paris. A competitor in the women's 10m air pistol final is Manu Bhaker. On Sunday, boxer Nikhat Zareen and shuttler PV Sindhu will begin their campaigns.

With shooters and archers competing in medal events on Sunday, July 28, Team India is ready to create an impression at the Paris Olympics after a mixed start. The main attraction of the day will be Manu Bhaker, who makes history by being the first female shooter from India to qualify for an Olympic final in 20 years. In the afternoon, the 22-year-old will compete in the women's 10m air pistol final.

PV Sindhu, an Olympic medallist twice, will play Maldives' Fatimath Abdul Razzaq in her opening group stage match in an attempt to win a third straight Olympic medal.

Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat, and Bhajan Kaur, the women's archery trio, will compete for a historic medal following their impressive performance on Thursday, July 25, in the Ranking Round that earned them a ticket in the quarterfinals.

Dhinidhi Desinghu, the youngest competitor from India at the Olympics in Paris, will compete in the women's 200-meter freestyle swimming heats. One of India's main medal contenders, Nikhat Zareen, a two-time world champion in the 50kg boxing event, will start her trip.

When the rifle shooters advance to the individual qualification stages on Sunday, they will be hoping to shake off their defeat in the mixed team competition.

While Rohan Bopanna and Sriram Balaji will play in their men's doubles first-round match, which was postponed due to rainy weather in Paris on Friday, Sumit Nagal will begin his tennis career.

After a broken pistol kept her from making it to the Tokyo Games final, Manu Bhaker will be looking for revenge at the Châteauroux Shooting Centre. She has the opportunity to become the first female shooter from India to earn an Olympic medal on Sunday, which would put an end to the country's 12-year wait for a podium finish in the shooting competition.
