‘Putting All Possible Efforts’: PM Modi Reaffirms India's 2036 Olympic Hosting Bid During US Visit

PM Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's goal of hosting the 2036 Olympics during his US visit, and he gave the assurance that all necessary efforts are being made.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been pushing India to make it a sporting capital. The country's push to make and develop athletes has been one of his premier aims. The Prime Minister has been one of the biggest encouragements to Indian athletes, which was evident when he met the Indian Olympic and Paralympic contingent. The Indian Prime Minister has reassured that they are putting in all the efforts to bring the Olympic Games to India.

PM Modi Reaffirms India’s Olympic Hosting Bid and Eagerly Wants the 2036 Summer Games in India

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi , is currently in the US and recently addressed the Indian Diaspora at the Nassau Coliseum. During his address, he touched upon the recently concluded Paris Olympics . PM Modi reaffirmed India's big to become the hosts for the 2036 Olympic Games, and he assured that they are putting in all the possible efforts to make it happen.

"...Only a few days ago, the Paris Olympics concluded. Very soon, you will witness the Olympics in India too. We are putting in all possible efforts to host the 2036 Olympics," PM Modi said during his address in New York.

Further in his address, Prime Minister Modi also acknowledged the India men's and women's team's historic win at New York's Nassau Coliseum.

"Bharat is full of energy and dreams. Every day we see new achievements. Today, both India men's and women's teams have won gold medals in Chess Olympiad," the Indian Prime Minister said during his address.

PM Modi is on a tour to the US and he initially landed in Philadelphia to meet President Joe Biden . He then travelled to New York for the second part of his trip, where he took part in the Quad Summit and also had bilateral meetings with several other dignitaries. The Indian Prime Minister will interact with the American business tycoons and also address the Summit of the Future at the UN's General Assembly.
