Wimbledon 2024 winner Carlos Alcaraz Shares his fitness lifestyle by putting on his morning routine, also he asserts the benefits of flexibility.
Claiming the Wimbledon title the second time in a row by defeating Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcarz has revealed his fitness routine that keeps him consistent not only for the sport but also in his daily life. In a recent interview with GQ, he says that he starts his day with a very light morning breakfast as he has toast with fruits and eggs sometimes.
Asserting being a morning person he never skips the morning breakfast as Carlos is a big believer of Break-the-fast thought and follows it religiously. His breakfast sometimes varies as it depends on his tours also but he always takes a light breakfast.
The 20-year-old seems to be very much dedicated to his physical and mental fitness. Carlos Alcaraz also revealed that he thinks power naps are very important and he is habitual of it. He maintains that power naps make him feel fresh and energetic throughout the day.
How Carlos Alcaraz Starts His Morning
When asked about the first thing he starts his morning with, he mentions stretching and says it doesn't only make the body flexible but rather opens the joints also, so he gets ready for his daily practice. Whether after waking up in the morning or getting started for the training the first thing he does is stretch his whole body from head to toe.
When it comes to stretching, Dr. Manjusha Aggarwal, senior consultant at Gleneagles Hospital says before getting started with your daily routine one should do stretching post leaving the bed. As per Miss Aggarwal, stretching must be included in the lifestyle. She adds that it is a good practice to allow yourself and your body a few minutes of relaxation also it boosts the entire physical function to get ready for the day.
For mindfulness and low stress levels, Stretching has always been and will be the first option. As per Dr. Nupur Patil, enhanced flexibility always provides a wide range of motion and makes the tasks that require both energy and joint support easier to perform like stair climbing, inclined walking, etc.
