The ongoing rivalry between the Viking Raiders’ Erik and Ivar has persisted with this week’s WWE Raw opening match. Though the Raiders started strong, the heels slowed their momentum. After Erik tagged Ivar, there was a short comeback from the team. United States champion AJ Styles interfered, which led to his dismissal from the ringside area. Cedric Alexander also attacked in return as he seeks vengeance for the disappointing last week due to AJ Styles.

Even after the break, Gallows and Anderson continued their dominance. They had kept Ivar cornered and away from his partner. When Erik finally received the tag, he exploded on his opponents. However, he ended up on the receiving end of a two-on-one beatdown as a result of The O.C.’s Boot of Doom. Still, Eric had not given up and escaped a Magic Killer attempt. He tagged Ivar, after which the both of them put away Anderson for the much-deserved win. A good old fashioned wrestle between big men left the fans satisfied.
