'Want To Run It Back': Matt Hardy Looks Back On The Hardys' Latest WWE Stint, Talks Future Appearances

TNA superstar Matt Hardy spoke out upon his recent appearance on WWE TV alongside Jeff Hardy when they made their appearances on NXT. Matt revealed that their brief run on NXT has come to an end, but they are open to more wrestling appearances down the road.

Matt Hardy Looks Back To The Hardys' NXT Run

Matt and Jeff Hardy made their smashing in-ring return to WWE after competing in a match at NXT Roadblock. The Hardys' TNA tag titles were on the line against NXT's Fraxiom, which consists of Nathan Frazer and Axiom. The banger-of-a-tag team match-up ended with the Hardy's emerging victorious and retaining the titles. They also received a huge reception from the crowd. Matt recently spoke about his recent success in the WWE and revealed that their run in NXT is done. However, Hardy kept the possibility of returning to the WWE wide open.

“Yes. I do think we would want to run it back. As of right now, our little run with NXT is wrapped. We do have some stuff on our schedule to do with WWE a little later on down the road. Nothing specifically with NXT yet, but…

“But I would love to run it back, especially when we gave our initial thoughts following the match. The first thing post-match is like, hey, these guys got a shot at the TNA Tag Team Titles and we were able to retain our titles, we prevailed. But does this now earn us a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships? That is a tag team title that The Hardys do not have on their résumé, and The Hardys would like to have that on their résumé. I think there’s maybe a selling point there, too,” Matt Hardy said during his appearance on his 'Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy' Podcast.

Are The Hardys Planning Something With The WWE?

Further in his appearance, Matt Hardy was pressed by co-host Jon Alba to divulge some details after he said that The Hardys have some plans in the works with the WWE. He did not give out everything but urged everyone to simply wait and watch.   

“Just stuff, I’m going to leave it at that right now. We have stuff lined up with WWE,” Hardy added.

It is yet to be seen when will The Hardys return to WWE programming and possibly have one final run before they retire.
