The tensions between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles were expected to boil over in the latest edition of WWE Smackdown Live after last week's sickening attack on the American Nightmare. As it so happened, Cody Rhodes was absolutely furious with AJ Styles and as it turned out, Cody Rhodes accepted AJ Styles challenge and now will defend his Undisputed WWE World Championship against Styles in an ‘I Quit’ match next Saturday at the Clash of the Castle.

WWE Smackdown: Results

• Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell: Bianca Belair & Jade Cardill win by pinfall after suplex
• Grayson Waller vs. Johnny Gargano: Grayson Waller wins by pinfall after executing a flipping Killswitch.
• LA Knight vs Carmelo Hayes: LA Knight wins by pinfall
• Kevin Owens and the Street Profits vs The Bloodline: Kevin Owens and Street Profits win by disqualification

WWE Smackdown: Highlights of the night 

• The biggest highlight was certainly going to be the exchange between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles. Both the stars had to be separated by security and AJ styles managed to take another cheap shot. Rhodes was irate and accepts to defend his WWE title against Styles at the Clash of the Castle in ‘I Quit’ match. 
• Before the scuffle between Rhodes and Styles, the Bloodline arrived and Paul Heyman inducted Tonga Loa into the Bloodline. Heyman also Promoted Tama Tonga to 'Tama Tonga: The Right Hand Man". 
• The Bloodline anointment was suddenly ravaged by Kevin Owens who unleashed his rampage on the pack to set the tone for the Main Even that was about to come. 
• In the main event, the six man tag team match KO and street profits won by DQ after Sikoa attacked with chair. But post the match, the Bloodline massacred Kevin Owens and the Smackdown ended with Kevin Owens slammed into the table. 
• Elsewhere, WWE Women's Champion Bayley had her run in with the challenger in Piper Niven and her accomplice Chelsea Green. 
• As expected Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defeated LeRae and Indi Hartwell. The match was however interrupted by Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler to set up a thrilling fatal triple threat match for the Tag team championship at the Cash of the castle. Belair and Cargill will defend their title at Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn and Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. 
• LA Knight made quick work of Carmelo Hayes and got another win. Post the victory, LA Knight called out Logan Paul and said, “Logan Paul, If you don't want to come to Smackdown, I'll bring the Smackdown to you”. 
• Logan Paul however replied to LA Knight's challenge and simply snubbed him by saying he doesn't think LA Knight is worthy for his action. 
• Grayson Waller continued his growth inside the ring as he resisted Johnny Gargano's experience to emerge victorious in their bout.
