WWE Smackdown Results: Solo Sikoa Strips Jacob Fatu Off the Tag Title as Cody-KO Form a United Front

Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Capital One Arena in Washington DC. The latest episode of the Red Brand featured all the build-up for the WWE's next International show, Bash at Berlin in the Uber Arena in Berlin. The brand's top superstars like Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, The Bloodline, Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair, LA Knight, Naomi & more were featured on the show. • LA Knight (c) vs. Santos Escobar (WWE United States Championship): LA Knight wins by pinfall with the BFT, retaining the WWE United States Championship.
• Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, & Naomi vs. Blair Davenport & Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn): Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, & Naomi win by pinfall with a split-legged moonsault from Naomi on Blair Davenport.
• Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) (c) vs. Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (WWE Tag Team Championship): Guerrillas of Destiny win by pinfall with a sliding reverse STO from Tama Tonga on Angelo Dawkins to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.
• A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) vs. “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes & Kevin Owens: Cody Rhodes & Kevin Owens win by pinfall with a pop-up powerbomb from Owens on Grayson Waller.

WWE SmackDown: Highlights of the Night

• The Grayson Waller Effect opened the show with Cody Rhodes as the special guest. Waller cuts off Cody from doing his signature moves. The hosts, A-Town Down Under, constantly pointed out how big of a backstabber Kevin Owens is and had a full video package to prove their point. Cody also pointed out how Waller is using Theory, and the wrestler looked conflicted. KO then came out and said that except for Kofi Kingston, everyone had it coming. He then brought out Nick Aldis to set up the main event among them and then raced to the ring to beat them up.
• Legado del Fantasma tried to gain an advantage as Angel and Berto launched a blindsided attack on LA Knight. But referee Jessika Carr wasn't having it as she ejected all of la familia, leaving Santos Escobar on his own.
• Solo Sikoa still has eyes on the Universal Championship title and vows to bring it back into the family. He also said that the OTC is DONE. However, he then stripped Jacob Fatu off the title and asked him to present it to Tonga Loa. He then said that since Fatu will be his personal enforcer, Jacob cannot be the tag team champion.
• #DIY came out to save The Street Profits and attacked the Bloodline. But they were too strong to be overpowered as Gargano and Ciampa were left beaten up on the mat.
• Kevin Owens was charging with the Universal title towards Cody Rhodes and the American Nightmare was almost shook. But KO handed the title to him before charging towards the ring to confront A-Town Down Under.
