The Airtel Rs 448 prepaid plan is offering increased data – of upto 1.5GB per day. This plan is valid for 82 days. For the uninitiated, Airtel’s Rs 448 plan falls into its long lineup of unlimited tariff plans that guarantee unlimited voice calling – without additional IUC even to other networks.

Now, the Rs 448 plan – seems custom made for select customers (prepaid). At this instant in time, the Rs 448 plan with 1.5GB 4G data per day is live for our own Airtel prepaid number. As far as its benefits are concerned, apart from unlimited calling, it offers 100 free text messages per day. Then, there are the free Wynk Music, Shaw Academy apps, along with that of Norton Mobile Security (valid for 1 year), and the Airtel xStream app Premium (lets users watch movies).

With this Rs 448 plan, Airtel has reiterated that unlimited calls subscribers need not worry about a additional charges (referring to IUC). Calls to all networks, from Airtel, would remain free of IUC for now. To avail the Rs 448 plan, you could check out the official Airtel eRecharge portal.

In related news, BSNL is now offering free calls to MTNL numbers in Mumbai and Delhi areas. This comes after the merger of the latter with the former was announced by the central government along with a revival package for BSNL. Also, BSNL is now handing out 4G SIM-cards to both new subscribers as well asthose preferring to port-in to its network from other networks. The state-led telco has indicated thatit would work on deploying full-fledged 4G networks across all its telecom circles, at the earliest. BSNL’s 4G have also become a talking point in social media.
