Instagram, Spotify partnership: Meta Platforms-owned Instagram has announced a partnership with Spotify as a part of which the two platforms are making it easier for users to find the music that they like and then save it. Instagram, via a post on X (formerly Twitter), announced that now all its users will be able to save songs that they discover in various posts in the Spotify Library.

For understanding, as of now when users tap a song or music that they listen to in a post on Instagram, they get directed to a page showing other posts using the same song or music. In addition to this, the page also shows a Use Audio button that enables users to use the song in their own posts. Now, they will see another small button under the Use Audio button that will let them add the song to the Spotify library without leaving Instagram. According to a report by 9To5 Mac, the song will be saved in the ‘Liked Songs’ playlist and in the ‘Your Library’ Tab of the app.

However, in order to add songs from Instagram directly to Spotify Library, Instagram users must first link their Instagram accounts with their Spotify accounts. Here's an easy guide to link Instagram account with Spotify:

How to link Instagram account with Spotify

Step 1: Tap the song that you liked in a post on Instagram.

Step 2: Tap the Add to Spotify button on top.

Step 3: Now Instagram will ask users to link their accounts with Spotify. Tap the Link Spotify button to start the process.

Step 4: Tap the Continue button.

Step 5: Next, either add the email and password of your existing Spotify account or log in using Google, Facebook or Apple account.

Step 6: Tap the Log In button.

Step 7: Complete the process by following the on-screen prompts.

As far as availability is concerned, Instagram has already started rolling out this feature to its iOS and Android users globally.
