iPhone hacks: How to link iPhone with a Windows PC

Microsoft offers the Microsoft Phone Link app to the iPhone users that enables the Apple device owners to access parts of their iPhone from their Windows PCs.

iPhone hacks: It's a common misconception that Windows PCs cannot be linked with iPhones. While that was true for a long time, over the years, both Apple and Microsoft have worked together to bridge this gap and offer users across the globe an easy way to manage their work more efficiently without burning a big MacBook-sized hole in their Pockets.

Microsoft offers an app dubbed as Microsoft Phone Link to the iPhone users that enables the Apple device owners to access parts of their iPhone from their Windows PCs. Users can make and take calls, check and dismiss notifications, send and reply to messages and view contacts from their iPhone on their Windows PCs.

Here is a step-by-step guide to link a Windows PC with an iPhone:

That said, iPhone and Windows device owners need to meet a set of requirements in order to link their iPhones with their Windows PCs. The list includes:

-- an iPhone running iOS 15 or newer OS version.

-- A PC running Windows 10 with the May 2019 update or later or Windows 11.

-- A Windows PC with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support.

Link iPhone with a Windows PC: How to use

Step 1: Turn on Bluetooth on the Windows PC and iPhone and keep both the devices nearby.

Step 2: Find the Phone Link in your Start menu and then open the app.

Step 3: Under Pick your phone, select iPhone option.

Step 4: Scan the QR code presented on the Windows PC with the iPhone's default camera to initiate the Bluetooth pairing process.

Step 5: Next, grant permissions on the iPhone to sync messages, notifications, and contacts to the Windows PC.

Step 6: To enable specific features, go to the Settings in the Phone Link app.

Step 7: Next, tap the Features tab.

Step 8: Tap the toggle button for the features to access on Windows PC.
