Microsoft's Scarlett – the next-gen Xbox gaming console is now looking like as if it would swallow the Xbox 360 in entirety as Microsoft has officially announced that the backwards compatibility for Xbox 360 on Xbox One consoles has come to an end. Backwards compatibility would now work on Xbox Scarlett with Xbox One and even Xbox 360 games. As of now, Xbox Scarlett is slated for an imminent release.

At this point in time, there is one last stream of original Xbox titles which you could check out within your current-gen Xbox One consoles. This would be the ultimate as far as original Xbox and Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles are seeded for your Xbox One, before Project Xbox Scarlett takes over.

The above development is an after-effect of the emergence elf Scarlett at the E3 2019; the stoppage of backwards compatibility for now (concerning old-age Xbox, Xbox 360 games) comes exactly 4 years after the functionality was introduced (at E3 2015).

Twitterati was also caught up as soon as Microsoft made the development official, check out certain prominent Twitter reactions below:

  • Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell
  • Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
