Elon Musk-owned social media microblogging site X has suffered an outage as it has been down since 11 am, according to website problem monitoring platform Downdetector.

Several users took to Downdetector to report the outage, and also tweeted with the hashtag #TwitterDown.

The platform witnessed 47,405 outage reports, with 64 per cent problems faced on app and 29 per cent issues on the website. While, about 7 per cent users reported an issue on the server.

Musk acquired Twitter last year, and renamed it as X in July this year. He reluctantly took charge of the platform he bought in a $44 billion deal, later roping in Linda Yaccarino as top boss in June this year.
