Apple Intelligence to get support for Indian English, French, Vietnamese and more in 2025

Apple Intelligence support: Apple 's list of supported languages for Apple Intelligence just got a little longer. The company has confirmed that Apple Intelligence will support at least 11 more languages in 2025. The company, via an update on its support page, confirmed that Apple Intelligence will support Chinese, English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese in 2025.

For the unversed, Apple has Intelligence will arrive in US English in beta mode on Apple devices running iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 in October. The company has also confirmed that Apple Intelligence will be available in localised English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK in December 2024.

Apple Intelligence availability across the globe

In addition to confirming the timeline of availability of various languages for Apple Intelligence, Apple has also shed some light on regions in which this service will be available. The company has confirmed that Apple Intelligence will continue to work on supported devices, which includes iPhones, iPads and Macs, once the feature has been turned on, even if the Apple device owners travel to other regions. However, the service will not be generally available to all users with supported devices in the European Union and China.

Apple has said that Apple Intelligence will not work if a user is in the European Union and their Apple ID Country/Region is also set to EU. "If traveling outside of the EU, Apple Intelligence will work when your device language and Siri language are set to a supported language," the company wrote in its support page. However, this is temporary, and it is likely to change when the company rolls out support for more languages in the EU.

Additionally, the company has confirmed that it is not making Apple Intelligence available on iPhone models purchased in or outside Mainland China at least for now. "For supported iPhone models purchased outside of China mainland, Apple Intelligence will not currently work if you are in China mainland and if your Apple ID Country/Region is also in China mainland," the company added on its support page.
