Redmi K20 Pro rumoured to be getting Android 10 update 

If you use the Redmi K20 Pro, then do check if you have started receiving the Android 10. This firmware is based on MIUI 10. Check for newer OTA notifications.

If you use the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone, then do check if you have started receiving the Android 10. The update should be seeding via the over-the-air (OTA) mechanism. This is the stable version of the MIUI 10. Users have also shared screenshots, on the official MI forum, about a new update based on MIUI 10 and enhancing the current firmware. Rumour mills have been indicating that this represents Android 10 for Redmi K20 Pro.  

Android 10 to Redmi K20 Pro

Now, going by the user screenshots, the MIUI 10 (stable) bears version number 10.4.8.0.QFKINXM. These details also indicate that there would be fixes for the fullscreen gestures causing device reboot. In case you have not received automatic OTA notifications, then you could check for the newer Android 10 firmware manually by navigating to Settings > Updates > Check for updates within your Redmi K20 Pro smartphones.  

The Redmi K20 Pro is a fairly new smartphone and is priced at Rs 27999. This handset falls into the category of premium smartphones. Out of the box, the handset runs Android 9.0. Updating to Android 10 – in case the above reports are true, should offer users plenty to cheer about. USP of the Redmi K20 Pro is its 48MP rear camera – triple rear camera setup. The device’s Snapdragon 855 octa-core SoC also theoretically makes it a potential gaming smartphone. Other key technical specifications of the Redmi K20 Pro include the likes of:

Redmi K20 Petition

At this juncture, it also becomes worth remembering that the Redmi K20’s price of Rs 22000 resulted in a petition on Change. This was to attempt to get the price of the smartphone reduced by Rs 2000. This campaign received a rousing start as it obtained 5000 signatures early. The campaign is still short of its intended 7500 signatures. As of now, there are 6579 signatures for the campaign.
