Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the first quarter of 2024 at one of its Galaxy Unpacked events. Recent reports indicate that Samsung might reveal the phone as early as January, with a potential release date around January 18, 2024.
Pricing
The price of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra remains a subject of speculation. While rumours initially suggested a potential price increase, only the Pixel 8 Pro among the mentioned flagship devices saw a $100 increase in price. Therefore, it's likely that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will start at a price ranging from $1,199 to $1,399.
Chipset
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumoured to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, offering strong performance based on leaked Geekbench results. However, these scores are from a pre-production prototype, so the final performance may vary. The phone is expected to come with 8GB and 12GB RAM options and various storage configurations, with the top tier offering a massive 2TB of internal storage.

Display and camera
The design of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to retain its predecessor's overall look but with a flat screen instead of a curved display. The measurements indicate slightly chunkier bezels, which could be due to the new titanium chassis. The phone boasts a 6.8-inch WQHD+ AMOLED M13 LTPO display with a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 144Hz and a record-breaking peak brightness of 2,500 nits.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a 200MP main camera, a 12MP selfie camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 10MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Despite the removal of the 10x optical zoom periscope lens, the improved 50MP telephoto lens is anticipated to offer similar capabilities without compromising image quality.
