Google launched the Pixel 9a earlier this month in India, saying it will hit the shelves sometime in April. A specific date was not announced then, but that changes with Google updating the availability information for all eligible markets for the Pixel 9a. The Pixel 9a will be available in India from April 16 through partner shopping platforms, including Flipkart and Croma.
In addition to India, April 16th is also when the Pixel 9a becomes available in Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia. However, markets such as the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom will get the phone first on April 10. Falling between the two dates is April 14 when the Pixel 9a will become available in a list of countries in Europe, such as Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Norway, Denmark, and Switzerland, among others. A sale date for Japan is yet to be announced.
“Pixel 9a will be available at the Google Store and through our retail partners beginning in April,” said Google earlier.
Google’s latest affordable phone, Pixel 9a has a 6.3-inch Actua display with a full-HD+ resolution, a 60-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR, and a peak brightness of 2700 nits. It is powered by a Google Tensor G4 processor, along with a Titan M2 security processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The Pixel 9a’s rear cameras include a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide sensor, featuring support for optical image stabilisation and Super Res Zoom up to 8x. The front camera has a 13MP sensor with a 96.1-degree field of view. Google’s standard camera features for Pixel, such as Macro Focus, Add Me, Night Sight, Astrophotography, and Top Shot are available on the Pixel 9a. The phone can record videos in up to 4K 60fps quality.
The Pixel 9a starts at ₹49,999.
