Ahead of the Tata Indian Premiere League 2025, Reliance Jio has announced an ‘unlimited’ offer for its mobile, broadband, and fixed wireless access (FWA) customers. As part of the new offer, eligible Jio users get unlimited access to JioHotstar where they can stream all the IPL matches “for free.” However, there are caveats to how the offer works. Here is everything to know about Jio’s IPL offer.
Jio is offering 90 days of free JioHotstar subscription to its SIM card users. The subscription will let users catch real-time matches of the IPL 2025 on their smartphones, laptops, and televisions.
Existing and new customers are eligible for the offer, but their accounts must be on a recharge plan of at least ₹299, which offers 1.5GB data per day. The recharge should be done after March 17, which means those who do not have a plan active can go for any plan of ₹299 or higher. However, those who recharged their accounts before March 17 and are currently on an active plan will be required to recharge their numbers with the ₹100 add-on after March 17 to become eligible for the offer.
As part of the offer, Jio SIM card users will have access to JioHotstar subscription on both their mobile phones and TVs in up to 4K resolution. The JioHotstar pack will be activated from March 22 (the opening day of IPL 2025) and run for 90 days.
Both existing and new Jio Fiber and Jio AirFiber customers can opt for a 50-day free trial offer, wherein they will have access to broadband and FWA internet services without having to pay effectively the full amount. In other words, Jio will let new customers buy a connection and old customers choose the offer without needing to pay for 50 days. A booking amount will be charged but refunded should the customer decide to end the trial.
The offer includes access to unlimited Wi-Fi, over 800 channels, and more than 11 OTT apps, including JioHotstar where all the IPL matches will be streamed in 4K. However, the subscription will last the same number of days as the trial, which is 50.
