Telegram, the encrypted messaging platform with over 800 million monthly users, has introduced 11 new features to enhance communication and engagement among its vast user base.

One significant update is the introduction of a list of similar public channels when users join a channel, simplifying channel discovery. This feature utilises automatic selection based on subscriber base similarities, allowing users to find content aligned with their interests. Access to similar channels is also available directly from a channel's profile.

The platform now enables users to amplify the reach of stories from friends and favourite channels with just two taps. Alongside text, audio, or video comments, users can repost stories restricted to those visible to 'everyone,' ensuring privacy protection.

Story posting on Telegram has been enriched further with the addition of video messages. Users can resize, move, and place these messages creatively on the screen, enhancing expression possibilities.

Telegram Premium users gain enhanced customisation options, including profile colours, allowing unique colour combinations with logos for their profiles. Custom wallpapers for both sides of the conversation are now accessible to Premium users, extending personalisation beyond individual chats.

The voice-to-text feature, once exclusive to Premium users, is now available to all. Users can convert up to two messages per week into text, aiding quick comprehension of audio content and facilitating translation into various languages.

For channels with story-posting capabilities, detailed statistics such as views, reactions, and shares are now accessible. Additionally, channel admins have a revamped interface for managing reactions, incorporating custom emojis for a more engaging user experience.
