Vi 5G Launched in Mumbai, Rollout Soon in Bihar, Delhi, Karnataka

Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea) has finally introduced its 5G services in India, piloting with Mumbai. The third-largest telecom company’s 5G connectivity will offer high internet speeds and better communication between connected devices. While Vi’s 5G network will expand to more circles, including Bihar, Delhi-NCR, Karnataka, and Punjab, it comes at a point when its rivals, Reliance Jio and Airtel, offer their 5G services to over 7,500 cities and towns, covering a cumulative base of more than 260 million users.

In addition to announcing the launch, Vi has listed the eligible recharge packs that will enable 5G services on users’ connections. While the prepaid plans start at ₹299, offering 1GB of data per day, postpaid users can purchase the Vi Max 451 plan or higher to activate the 5G service. Here is a full list of Vi 5G plans:

Vi 5G prepaid plans

• ₹299 – unlimited 5G internet, 1GB 4G data per day, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.
• ₹349 – unlimited 5G internet, 1.5GB 4G data per day, unlimited calls, free night data, weekend data rollover, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.
• ₹365 – unlimited 5G internet, 2GB 4G data per day, unlimited calls, free unlimited data between 12am and 12pm, weekend data rollover, and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.
• ₹579 – unlimited 5G internet, 1.5GB 4G data per day, unlimited calls, free night data, weekend data rollover, and 100 SMS daily for 56 days.
• ₹649 – unlimited 5G internet, 2GB 4G data per day, unlimited calls, free unlimited data between 12am and 12pm, weekend data rollover, and 100 SMS per day for 56 days.
• ₹859 – unlimited 5G internet, 1.5GB 4G data per day, unlimited calls, free night data, weekend data rollover, and 100 SMS per day for 84 days.
• ₹979 – unlimited 5G internet, 2GB 4G data per day, unlimited calls, free unlimited data between 12am and 12pm, weekend data rollover, 100 SMS per day, and subscription to over 16 OTT platforms for 84 days.
• ₹3,599 – unlimited 5G internet, 2GB 4G data per day, unlimited calls, free unlimited data between 12am and 12pm, weekend data rollover, 100 SMS per day, and subscription to over 16 OTT platforms for 365 days.

Vi 5G postpaid plans

• Vi Max 451 – unlimited 5G, unlimited calls, unlimited night data, 50GB of 4G data with 200GB data rollover, and 3000 SMS per month.
• Vi Max 551 – unlimited 5G, unlimited calls, unlimited night data, 90GB of 4G data with 200GB data rollover, and 3000 SMS per month.
• Vi Max 751 – unlimited 5G, unlimited calls, unlimited night data, 150GB of 4G data with 200GB data rollover, and 3000 SMS per month.
• Vi REDX 1201 – unlimited 5G, unlimited calls, unlimited 4G, and 3000 monthly SMS.
