Apple TV Plus video streaming service is now accessible in India at a nominal monthly subscription fee of Rs 99, to begin with. Apple TV Plus will compete with Netflix, Hotstar and Amazon Prime in India. You can access its content, courtesy of Apple TV app, on a host of Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, etc. You can also stream content on your big screen with the help of Roku and Amazon Fire TV Stick. You can also stream videos on the website. All you need to do is simply go to http://tv.apple.com. Including India, Apple TV Plus has gone live in more than 100 countries.

Apple TV Plus content library, price in India

The monthly subscription of Apple TV Plus service costs Rs 99.  As announced during its annual September event, Apple TV+ will offer a lineup of original shows, movies and documentaries. Apple's content library includes Apple original shows and movies like The Morning Show, Dickinson, See, For All Mankind, Helpsters, Ghostwriter, Snoopy in space. It also includes Apple original movies such as The Elephant Queen, Hala. Some of the upcoming Apple TV Plus shows include Servant and Truth be told.

Apple is also offering one-year free Apple TV+ subscription to those purchasing any Apple device including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch or Mac starting today. Apple TV+ subscription supports Family Sharing, allowing up to six family members to use one subscription.

Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, the former Sony Pictures Television presidents who are heads of worldwide video for Apple, say they are optimistic about the streamer’s future.

“We are working with some of the most tremendously talented people we’ve ever met working in entertainment today,” Van Amburg said, and he sees them rising to the challenge of building an enterprise in general and for tech giant Apple in particular. “There’s an expression that we use here across the board at Apple: ‘Come to Apple and do the best work of your life.’ That’s actually what we ask of everyone who comes here.”
