CamScanner Malware Scare For Android, Is App Back Up On Google Play?
CamScanner’s Malware triggered an alarm amongst Android users. Is the app back now? Users could check Google Play and the official CamScanner portal for the app

CamScanner’s Malware which was noticed on Android platforms by Kaspersky researchers has definitely triggered an alarm as far as users are concerned. Now, CamScanner has come ut with an official statement regarding the malware. Here, the popular application (app) states that the malicious advertisement offered by AdHub and incorporated within the version 5.11.7 is indeed potentially problematic. The app also added that it would initiate legal action against AdHub.

Also, CamScanner folks state that post evaluation, data leaks courtesy of the above module did not take place. Hence, CamScanner users could afford to at least assume that their personal data would be safe despite the above suspicious malware. At this point in time, there have even been reports from CamScanner users, about having deleted the app. The CamScanner Software Development Kit (SDK) not having Google Play certification has also been removed from the Play Store.
