YouTube Music users on Android will now be able to share a track directly via Snapchat, in the form of a story. The recent development comes months after the same feature was launched for iOS devices, which was back in October 2021. It is worth mentioning that the first time this feature appeared on the internet was in 2020. Keep reading to know more about how to share songs from YouTube Music to Snapchat.

The feature was first spotted by 9To5Google, which posted a report on March 5, 2022. As noted by the publication, "opening the are sheet in YouTube Music for Android and tapping Snapchat will successfully send what you're currently playing to Snapchat." However, the publication also notes that a similar integration for Instagram does not work properly as the application keeps crashing on doing so.

How to share songs from YouTube Music to Snapchat?

  • Open the YouTube Music app on an Android or iOS device
  • Tap on the song that is to be shared
  • Tap on the 3-dot menu
  • In the options that appear, tap on 'Share'
  • From the list of applications that open, tap on Snapchat
  • Once the song opens in the Snapchat app, users will see a clickable thumbnail image with the album's art
  • Then, users can edit their Snap story
  • Once users are done with the Snap story, they will be able to send it as a direct message or with Snap followers
  • When a viewer will click on the YouTube Music thumbnail link on the story, the song will open and start playing in the YouTube Music App.

Snapchat users can change their username

On February 18, 2022, Snapchat announced an update that will allow users to change their usernames without the deletion of their accounts. Snapchat users on both Android and iOS will be able to change their username from February 23, 2022. Changing the username will not impact other details of a user's account, including the display name, associated email ID, profile settings, etc. However, users should keep in mind that they will only be able to change their Snapchat username once per year. Previously, users could only change their display name, but their username had to be the same.
